This 3.5 mile loop in Pharsalia WMA takes you by two ponds and the remains of an old CCC camp. The Elmer Jackson Loop features two miles of the Finger Lakes Trail as well as seasonal dirt roads in the WMA. You'll pass Johnson Pond and Lower Pond as you explore the area on this great hike.

DIRECTIONS:  From South Otselic, take NY 26 South, turn left of County Route 42.  At the sign for Pharsalia WMA turn left.  This is Johnson Street.  The Finger Lakes Trail crosses a little over a half of a mile down this seasonal dirt road.  Park on the side of the dirt road.  This is the start of the loop hike.

0.5	1887 ft	Mud Lane is on the left (dirt road).  Continue straight.
1.1	1883 ft	Turn right on Elmer Jackson Road (dirt road).
1.5	1782 ft	Turn right onto the Finger Lakes Trail (follow white blazes).  To your left is Lower Pond.
1.6	1800 ft	Remains of an old CCC camp.
2.4	1916 ft	Cross John Smith Road (dirt road).
2.6	1894 ft	Reach Jackson Pond.
3.1	1998 ft	Highest point of this loop hike.
3.5	1964 ft	Reach Johnson Street and the end of this loop hike.
