Hiking in Onondaga County Tracy Lake
|
This preserve contains Tracy Lake and surrounding marshes. It also contains a large portion of the adjacent Mud Pond. A short 0.2 mile unmarked but easy to follow trail leads you to the banks of Tracy Lake. We've been told that since we've been here in 2009, the trails are now marked and there are a couple of benches along the trail as well. There is an updated map below as well as some pictures and a video.
To get to this property from I-81, take EXIT 14 TULLY. Drive west on NY 80 for one mile to Gatehouse Road and turn left (south) onto Gatehouse Road. The road on the right (north) of the intersection is Tully Farms Road. Look for the Tracy Lake sign at the entrance on the left and park on Gatehouse Road. There are two places to park. The first one is near the corner of NY 80 and Gatehouse Road. GPS coordinates are N42 48.201 W76 08.809. The second is further down the road. GPS coordinates N42 47.830 W76 08.922.
