This is a very popular
family hike that is mostly on private land and partly on state land.
Stay on the trails, especially on PRIVATE LAND. Not doing this could
cause the loss of rights from the generous land owners who have allowed this
trail on their land. This area is also heavily hunted during hunting
season. Please take precautions or avoid hiking during hunting season.
Officially this hike is listed as a 5.5 mile loop hike. When I GPS'd the hike, I had 5.0 miles. I may have lost a half
of mile somewhere. This loop utilizes the Finger Lakes/North Country
Trail, Spanish Loop Trail and has some road walking. Directions: From Dryden take NY 392 East and right on W Meeting House Rd, then right on Daisy Hollow Rd. There is a parking area where the power lines cross the road. From Virgil take NY 392 West then left on W Meeting House Rd, then right on Daisy Hollow Rd. |
