Hiking in Madison County Oxbow Falls
|
Enjoy a game of softball, have a picnic, or take a hike to one of the scenic views offered by the unique setting of Oxbow Falls County Park. This county park has 125 acres of woods, streams, fields, waterfalls, picnic tables, grills, pavilions and scenic views. The park is located in Madison County, south of Canastota, NY just off Oxbow Road. The main waterfall is 100 feet.
The park has surprising views of the Oneida Lake Plain and is worth a visit to explore. There is no fee to enter the park. The hiking trails are well worn and most are marked, however there are numerous side trails that are not marked. The park kiosk shows only a couple of trails in the park. There are more trails. Bring your gps and explore!
When you visit, check out the nice trail work that was done by boy scouts including a footbridge that was built. Look below for maps and a few pictures from this county park.
