To reach a viewpoint overlooking the 36 foot Ludlowville Falls is nothing more than a short walk across a playground at a small town park. A short fishing access trail takes you do down to Salmon Creek for an up close view of the falls and its unique cave on the left of the falls. Be aware that there is a lot of spray from the falls if you take the trip down the short trail to the creek. This is one of the easiest waterfalls to visit in the area.

Directions: From Ithaca take NY 13/34 north out of the city. Exit onto NY 34 north and drive 5.8 miles to NY 34B junction. Turn left on NY 34B and drive 2.7 miles. Turn right on Ludlowville Road, then turn into the small parking area at the Ludlowville Town Park. Walk toward the fence, passing the playground to get the best view of the falls. The GPS coordinates for the town park is N42 33.210 W76 32.240 for those who have a GPS devise.

You can find more information on this waterfall as well as many other waterfalls in the book New York Waterfalls: A Guide for Hikers & Photographers.
