Camping in Adirondack Park Central Adirondacks Lewey Lake
|

Lewey Lake State Campground is located south of the hamlet of Indian Lake in the Central Adirondacks. The popular campground is located on scenic Lewey Lake with Snowy Mountain in the distance. The Sucker Brook Trail begins at the campground and you'll find many other hiking opportunities available in the area. There are 207 campsites available as well as a day use area that includes a beach as well as a picnic area.
The campground is located on NY 30 north of Speculator, south of Indian Lake. The most popular hiking destination from Lewey Lake Campground is the hike to the fire tower on Snowy Mountain. The trailhead is located a few miles north of the campground. There are many great hikes in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness, located east of the campground. The overly popular hike to OK Slip Falls is also located a short drive from the campground. We suggest trying the one mile hike to the spectacular views on Watch Hill.
DEC campgrounds accept the Empire Passport for those who want to enter to use the day use facilities. It's not just for state parks! To get more info on this campground including reservations see the NY DEC Website.
