The 50 foot Wolcott Falls are located in the heart of the village of Wolcott in Wayne County. A parking area is located off Mill Street at Wolcott Falls Park. A viewing platform next to the parking area gives visitors a nice view of the falls from above. A short trail leads to the base of the falls is the best viewing point of the waterfall. This is an easily accessed waterfall that can be enjoyed by everyone.

Many visitors may not realize there is a trail that leads to the base of the falls since there are no signs or maps that promote the trail. The short 0.18 mile trail is found by following the safety fence to the gap in the fence near a large tree. A well worn trail leads down toward Wolcott Creek and on to the base of Wolcott Falls. The GPS coordinates of the parking area is N43 13.272 W76 48.738 for those who have a GPS devise in their vehicle. Look below for a video and map of Wolcott Falls.

The trail map below doesn't properly show the trail to the base of the falls. The trail wraps around and then down into the small gorge, while the map makes it look like a loop it is actually a down and out hike. There is an elevation change of about 50 feet of the trail. It is an easy walk to the falls. Find this waterfall and many others in the guide books New York Waterfalls: A Guide for Hikers & Photographers and Waterfalls of New York State.
