Round Pond is located in the 45,208 acre Dix Mountain Wilderness, which is in the High Peaks Region of the Adirondacks. There is a parking area off NY 73. The short 0.5 mile hike to the pond is very popular and you'll find the parking area filled on weekends. There are four primitive campsites located near the pond, while only two are DEC designated campsites. The GPS coordinates for the parking area is N44 07.920 W73 43.929 off NY 73.
