Camping in Adirondack Park Hammond Pond Wild Forest Paradox Lake

Paradox Lake Campground is located along NY 74 just north of the popular Pharaoh Lake Wilderness and west of Ticonderoga. The campground features 58 sites with hot showers, flush toilets, canoe as well as boat rentals. There is no swimming beach. On the opposite shore of the Paradox Lake, accessible only by boat, a 2.2 mile hiking trail leads to Peaked Hill and Peaked Hill Pond. In the future, the North Country National Scenic Trail will travel by Peaked Hill.
Many use this campground as a staging point for exploring Pharaoh Lake Wilderness. Some other great hikes that are located near the campground include Severance Hill, Mount Defiance, Challis Pond and Hammond Pond as well as many other great hikes located nearby.
