Hiking Trails at Letchworth State Park Trail #4 Birch Trail
|
The Birch Trail at Letchworth State Park, also known as Trail 4, features three branch trails that campers and hikers can enjoy. The main trail is the old park road that traveled to Lower Falls and the branch trails veer off the main trail. Park at the second overlook on the current Lower Falls Park Road to find the start of the main trail.
The end of the main trail is marked by a fire hydrant that is at an old gravel pit. The three branches of the trail fork out from this point. The left branch follows a dirt road and is very level. The middle branch descends through Red and White Pine trees. The right branch descends all the way down to the Lower Falls Park Road, near the Cabin B Area of the park.
