On May 27, 2009, Linus Ressler, 85, of Leesburg, Florida, formerly of Nedrow, NY passed away after a brief illness. Born July 13, 1923, in Katharinental Nikolaew, Ukraine he was the son of Johann Ressler and Klementine Ressler, (Hatzenbühler).
He emigrated to the United States on November 24,1956. He found employment as a machinist and later as a supervisor for 33 years. Linus was know to be able to fix just about anything that broke. He loved to go crabbing, clamming, fishing, gardening, barbecuing, and enjoying his family in the Delaware and Florida sun. Linus was always known to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and people in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jean Ressler; son, Linus B. Ressler (Diana); grandchildren, Michael and Heidi, son Edmund A. Ressler (Dorianne); grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, and Patrick; sister Ida Lemmer (Ressler) from Ingolstadt, Germany as well as nieces and cousins.
