Hiking in Adirondack Park High Peaks Region Heaven Hill Trails
|
Heaven Hill Trails is located in the Lake Placid Area. This 940 acre property features about five miles of hiking trails away from the busy High Peaks Region. The trails are much easier, although still challenging and feature grand views of some of the high peaks in the area. The trails are dog friendly, unlike the High Peaks Wilderness, so bring your leashed dog. The trails follow old farm roads for the most part. You'll find this little known gem off of Old Military Road along Bear Cub Lane.

Big Field Loop Trail - This trail is just under one mile for those hiking the outer loop. There are connector trails that you can use to make your hike shorter of for a change of scenery. This trail features some views of the old farm.
Old Orchard Loop Trail - This is a 1.5 mile loop trail that travels along the edge of the old pasture. There are views of the high peaks.
Most of the trails are suitable for the family and are much easier than the 46er mountains. Plus you normally won't see tons of hikers on the trails compared to other popular, well known destinations in the Lake Placid area. Look below for pictures and a map of the hiking trails.
