Fern Mountain Recreational Area is also known as Fern Park.  This town park is located in Inlet off NY 28 just off South Shore Road.  The town website boasts that park is always open and the lights at the pavilion stay on until 10pm.  There is also a trail that is lighted until 10pm.

The recreational area has a multiple use trail system that is located on public as well as private property.  No hunting, camping, firearms or motor vehicles on private property.  A map of the trail system can be obtained at the Town of Inlet offices on NY 28 at Arrowhead Park.  Arrowhead Park is home to a small picnic area, grills, tennis courts, playground, baseball field, a beach as well as rest rooms.
