Blue Ridge Parkway Appalachian Trail to Cedar Cliffs

A short 0.4 mile walk south along the famous Appalachian Trail takes you to a nice view point called Cedar Cliffs. The start of this hike is from the Dripping Rocks Parking Area at milepost 9.6 off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Most Blue Ridge Parkway travelers miss this easy, short walk along the AT. It's worth exploring this short section of the 2100 mile Appalachian Trail. Follow the white blazes.
You can continue south along the Appalachian Trail will take you to another view at Raven's Roost after another 1.1 miles of hiking. The view is similar to the view from the overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
