This is a 4.1 mile loop utilizing different trails in Jenksville State Forest. This loop is fairly easy with a total elevation gain/loss of just over 300 feet. This loop begins at the large parking area just off dirt Allison Hill Road. The hike has old stone walls, an old foundation ruins, some great old growth trees, a new growth forest and a great scenic view.

From the Allison Hill Road parking area, head toward the kiosk and turn left following Blue 1 Trail.

0.2 1587 ft
Yellow 1 Trail is on your left. Continue straight ahead.

0.25 1604 ft
Blue 1 turns right. Go straight on Blue 2 Trail.

0.4 1618 ft
Blue 4 on your right. Continue straight.

0.5 1600 ft
Blue 5 on your right. Continue on Blue 2 Trail.

0.6 1612 ft
M Junction. Turn left on Yellow 2 Trail.

0.65 1587 ft
Continue straight. Now on Yellow 1 Trail.

0.75 1576 ft
Pass through old stone wall.

0.95 1550 ft
V Junction. Turn right on Yellow 3 Trail.

1.2 1537 ft
Trail turns left.

1.7 1459 ft
Yellow 1 Trail on right. Continue on Yellow 3 Trail.

1.85 1446 ft
Ruins including old foundation walls. Now hiking through new growth forest.

2.25 1391 ft
Trail turns left, now on Yellow 4 Trail. Views past barb wire fence. Careful not to follow ATV tracks off state lands!

2.7 1337 ft
Low point. Trail turns left and begins to ascend next to a ravine.

3.05 1494 ft
W Junction. Turn right on Yellow 1 Trail. Area seems to be wet and muddy.

3.25 1550 ft
V Junction. Turn right, continuing on Yellow 1 Trail.

3.5 1576 ft
Pass through old stone wall.

3.6 1587 ft
Veer right and continue on Yellow 1 Trail.

3.95 1587 ft
Reach Blue 1 Trail. Go straight on Blue 1 Trail.

4.13 1577 ft
Reach parking area and the end of this loop hike.
