DIRECTIONS - From Syracuse, I-81 south to I-380 south in Scranton.  I -380 South to I-80 East.  Exit at PA 611 to PA 191 in Stroudsburg.  PA 191 South to the well marked Appalachian Trail Parking Area at Fox Gap.  The GPS coordinates are N40 56.127 W75 11.822 for those who have a GPS devise in their vehicle. It is a 2.5 - 3 hour drive from Syracuse, NY.

THE HIKE(S) - Total round trip mileage is 6.4 miles for these two relatively short AT hikes to awesome views.  The actual hikes are easy to follow, just follow the white blazes.  It is a 3.55 miles round trip to Wolf Rocks & back to Fox Gap, 2.85 miles round trip to Lunch Rocks & back to Fox Gap.  Be sure to check out the AT Shelter on your way back from Lunch Rocks.  The elevation profile on the map below is for the round trip to Wolf Rocks.  Both these AT Hikes are easy to moderate.

The hike to Wolf Rocks includes a short rock scramble near Wolf Rocks.  The "Lunch Rocks" sign was gone when we hiked on 10/21/2009.  There is nothing to let you know that your at Lunch Rocks and you can easily pass right by it.  Both of these hikes are considered as two of the "Best of the AT in PA".  They are both definitely worth exploring.  Wear good hiking boots as you will quickly see why Pennsylvania is sometimes called "Rocksylvania" by Appalachian Trail thru hikers.

There is a panorama of Nelson Vista above, panorama of Lunch Rocks below, a few pictures, a video of each hike and a topo map below.
