Allegheny National Forest Jakes Rocks Overlook

Hardened hiking trails lead you to scenic views of Jackson Bay of the Allegheny Reservoir as well as the Kinzua Dam. There are two overlooks as well along the exit road to visit as you leave the parking area. Total hiking is just under one mile to explore the overlooks. There is a picnic area near the parking area. 

Jacks Rocks is located on Forest Road 492 via the Longhouse National Scenic Byway (Forest Road 262) about 3 miles south of the junction with PA 59 at Kinzua Point.  The GPS coordinates of the parking area is N41 50.984 W78 58.908 for those who have a GPS devise in their vehicle.  You can find more info on Jakes Rocks from the USDA Forest Service website.
