Pixley Falls State Park's main attraction is the 50 foot waterfall located close to the picnic area. This picturesque park also features steep, wooded hills and a scenic mountain stream. A 0.7 mile nature trail meanders through the forest and past Pixley Falls (see video below).  This park is normally open from May to October.  It is a day use park that has picnic areas.

A cross-country ski trail runs along the Black River Canal, which is just inside the park entrance.  This ski trail is also the North Country National Scenic Trail.  This park no longer offers camping.
