Oquaga Creek State Park has the beautiful 55 acre Arctic Lake, which has a nice sandy beach for swimmers, and anglers can fish for black bass, bullheads and rainbow trout. The rolling, wooded hills are ideal for winter sledding. In the winter visitors can also ice skate or ice fish on the frozen lake. Snowshoers and cross-country skiers can explore six miles of trails. If you like to camp, 95 sites that are mostly wooded are available.

This state park is bordered by the 2858 acre Artic China State Forest.  There are a few roadside camping spots located in the state forest.  A spur trail of the Finger Lakes Trail travels into the state park from the main Finger Lakes Trail in Artic China State Forest.  There are more trails to explore in the park.

• Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse: Thruway (I-90) east to exit 36, junction I-81. I-81 south to Whitney Point exit. NY 206 east to Beech Hill Rd. to park.
• Albany: Thruway (I-90) west to Schenectady exit 25A. Take I-88 west to Bainbridge exit. NY 206 east to Beech Hill Rd. to park.
• New York: I-86/NY 17 north to exit 84 at Deposit. North on NY 8 for three miles. Left on County Road 20, follow nine miles to park.
• Binghamton: I-88 east to Bainbridge. NY 206 east approximately 5 miles to Beech Hill Rd., to park.
