The Hemlock Trail at Letchworth State Park, also known as Trail 2A, in which the main part of this trail is between the Mary Jemison Trail and Trout Trail. An extention trail that travels past Trout Pond, by Trailside Lodge and ends at the Park Road near the Castile Entrance Road is sometimes referred to as the Hemlock Trail as well.

Some of the features of the Hemlock Trail includes the scenic Pine Pond, 100+ year old Hemlocks, Red Pines and the scenic Deh-ga-ya-soh Creek. Deh-ga-ya-soh means "Nameless Spirits". The creek flows into the Genesee River Gorge forming a 150 foot waterfall known as the Deh-ga-ya-soh Falls only seen from the Letchworth Trail, across the gorge on the east side of the park. This is a trail that doesn't get as much traffic as the more popular trails such as the Gorge Trail. Some hikers utilize this trail with the Mary Jemison Trail and the Gorge Trail to create a pleasant loop hike at the park. Look below for a map of the hiking trails in this area.
