Hiking in Adirondack Park Jenkins Mountain

Jenkins Mountain is located at the New York State Adirondack Park Agency Visitor Interpretive Center (VIC) at Paul Smiths, which is located on State Route 30 in the Franklin County town of Brighton. You reach the 2513 foot summit by hiking the 4.1 mile Jenkins Mountain Trail.
This 8.2 mile round trip hike is a moderate hike that will take most people at least 5 hours and has an overall elevation gain of 762 feet. There are views from the summit.
The Adirondack VIC at Paul Smiths features 6 miles of interpretive trails and 8 miles of backcountry trails for spring, summer and fall use. During the winter, there are 9.5 miles of trails used for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
