How can a short climb be as beautiful as a 4000 foot mountain? The only problem is that you will need to walk Lake Road for approximately 3.3 miles and then take the marked trail left and proceed on a very nice, however long round trip.

In a short while take a side trail right to "Gothics Window," a perfectly framed "window" of Gothics.  Heading back onto the trail, climbing a ladder and moving along multiple switchbacks.

A side trail right at 0.9 miles leads you to Indian Head and you won't be disappointed. This hike is a photographers dream with views of Lower Ausable Lakes and the surrounding mountains.

Taking in the views and roaming the many cliffs. Now take the short 0.2 mile hike to Fish Hawk Cliffs and view Indian Head. The views on Indian Head itself is astounding. This rock formation has to be seen to be appreciated.

Great views await on this long hike.
