This 7.4 mile section of the Finger Lakes Trail / North Country Trail begins off Fox Hill Road. This whole section of trail is CLOSED during hunting season from May 1-31 and Oct 10 - Dec 21. Please use the hunting bypass during these dates.
This section of trail is fairly secluded compared to other sections of the FLT/NCT as the trail crosses only a seasonal dirt road the whole 7.4 miles. There are numerous up and downs, as this section is some very moderate hiking. There is one campsite shown on the map below, plus one more campsite located closer to Swain.
The Bleier Campsite is located in a somewhat open meadow with blue blazes that lead to a seasonal spring. There is also a pond located 0.1 mile further south on the main trail. There is also an outhouse located here, which was funded by the National Park Service through the North Country Trail Association.
