Hiking in Adirondack Park Shaker Mountain Wild Forest Chase Lake

There was exciting news from the NY DEC in September 2010 regarding Chase Lake. From the NY DEC website:
The lean-to on the south shore of Chase Lake has been removed, and a new lean-to has been constructed on the lake's north shore. A new trail spur leading off the old trail and approaching the new lean-to from the west has been marked. The site of the old lean-to is now a designated tent site. See photos of the construction work and the completed lean-to.
We plan and hope to take a hike to the new lean to this fall to gps/pic and video. Come back later after we do this hike!
